We had to get up really early to catch our train to the airport. When we got to the station and boarded the (wrong) train, we found out we could've slept an extra hour! The train we had boarded left for the airport 5 minutes earlier than the one we had planned to take. Instead of taking 2 hours to get to the airport (like the other one), it only took 70 minutes. If we had taken the train an hour later, we still would've gotten at the airport on time. We felt kinda silly at the time, but it's quite funny looking back. It could've been much worse after all...
On our flight to Prague we had excellent service. We even got chocolate! Céline is expressing our feelings towards chocolate: we ♥ it!
When we arrived at the hotel in Prague (or Praha) we were so happy! It looked even better then we'd expected. It was very spacious and airy, and felt luxurious (chocolates on the pillows!).
While wandering around, we found a really nice little market. They had loads of stalls with countless produce, but what interested me the most was the lemonade stand.
As you can see, they had all kinds of juices and drinks. Seeing as it was about 34°C, we had to get some refreshments! I got lemon/lime/mint and Céline got strawberry.
So delicious! After those much needed drinks, we walked around to see a bit of the city.
Prague boasts a lot of beautiful buildings.
We also walked on one of the many shopping streets in Prague and because I seemly hone in on make-up/nail polish, I immediately spotted an OPI store. Going in, Céline found a polish she couldn't part with: Gouda Gouda, Two Shoes.
I adore little bridges connecting buildings!
We found this little church tucked away between other buildings when we were looking for the Astronomical Clock.
After Céline had changed at the hotel, we went out again in search for dinner. We found a nice looking restaurant and ordered a home-made hamburger and a blue berry juice. The food was delicious, sadly the service was terrible. :(
It had been a long day, as evidenced by the totally vacant look in my eyes.
I couldn't eat the whole plate because it was huge, but it tasted great.
And that was the end of the first day. Celine also blogged about Prague: here!
Lots of ♥,
